Astralis move past NAVI to consolidation final at BLAST Premier
The Danes have secured a matchup against BIG for a place in the tournament's grand final.
Having lost the opening series of the upper bracket to NAVI, Astralis are now just one win away from completing the lower bracket gauntlet after taking their revenge on the CIS-based side and securing three consecutive 2-0 victories ahead of the consolidation final. Meanwhile, Natus Vincere have exited the penultimate event of the year and their debut tournament with Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy as the sixth man in fourth place.
So far, the only map b1t has stepped in for has been Inferno in his short tenure with Natus Vincere, and it was no different this time as he took Egor "flamie" Vasilyev's place in the starting roster on the opening map against Astralis.
The focus was all on the duo of Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, however, as the two superstars put up nearly 60 kills combined on the first map but to no success, with Astralis coming out on top on the back of a close win strong finish on the defense.
flamie was back on the server in time for Train, but it did NAVI little good as they struggled in the first half up against another exceptional defensive showing from the Danish squad, with Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy nowhere to be seen. After some forcebuy shenanigans at the beginning of the second half, Astralis regained control before it ever got too close for comfort, closing the series at 16-7, 2-0.
